Riesling Abounds this Sunday and Monday
The Oz Wine Show is off to the Frankland Estate International Riesling Tasting (FEIRT) this Sunday in Sydney. There’s a bit of an entrance fee but it’s a premier event and you’ll get to scoff top notch wines from Germany, Austria, France, USA, New Zealand, Portugal and Australia.
More info can be found here if anyone wants to join us.

Guys,
I’ll be there for the open tasting on Sunday afternoon as well as the Monday masterclasses. It’s pricey, but the masterclasses should (I hope!) be great (and they come with free entry to the open tasting on Sunday).

Cam, pull us aside and say hi at the open tasting. Mick will be the one wearing the red ribbon in his hair. hehe

Whoever decided that it would be a good idea to have the tasting in that little hallway? Lack of spittoons, nobody at the front desk even at the starting time - not what I expected in terms of organisation for what is a fairly expensive package. Hope the masterclasses tomorrow are better.
That said, getting to taste those Gunderloch TBAs made up for it all. Left me speechless.
Didn’t see any red ribbons sorry

I must agree on the general tasting setup side of things but the official tasting couldn’t have been executed more precisely.
I think you’ll enjoy the masterclasses. We interviewed Ernst Loosen who’s taking the second class today, and he’s a barrel of “unbridled enthusiasm” (to quote Seinfeld).

G’day Guys,
Just found the site. Have just moved to Sydney and am quite involved in a number of wine events including the International Shiraz Alliance, Boutique Winemakers and Tri Nations Wine Challenge.
You should all get along to the Tri Nations tasting on Monday August 28 - http://www.boutiquewines.com.au/Tri%20Nations%203.htm
As I mentioned on Cam’s blog let me know if you want to keep updated with such events, pretty sure you guys are on to it anyway.
Cheers
